Simon the Magician in Samaria in ACTS 8 is saved. He is baptized by Philip, and yet this was not sufficient to move him to renounce to esoteric. “Then Peter and John laid their hands on them [one by one], and they received the Holy Spirit” (verse 17). As Simon saw the effects of the baptizing with the Holy Spirit he wanted to buy it. He is rebuked by Peter vigorously (verse 20). And here I want to make some remarks and invite you to comment on it: Peter asks Simon to repent. But the Magician, instead of repenting and becoming humble, he “delegated” again the prayers for repentance to Peter & John. Scripture does not continue the story. I think this an invitation for us to reflect on it. Some thoughts on it:

The first kinsman of Naomi and her daughter-in-low did not want to redeem her inheritance and to restore the name of the dead man who was the husband of Ruth, because he did not want to endanger his own inheritance. Yet Boaz redeemed all, both inheritance and the name of a dead man, out of love to Ruth. And his decision was out of love. The decision of the first kinsman was out of greed. And GOD honored Boaz decision out of love to Ruth by orchestrating these series of events so that out of love between Ruth and Boaz came a son named OBED. He was the father of Jesse, the Father of David, the ancestor of Jeshua HaMashia! OUT OF LOVE is always a godly decision, that GOD rewards amazingly! Bible Reference: Ruth 4:6 New International Version (NIV) 6 At this, the guardian-redeemer said, “Then I cannot redeem it because I might endanger my own estate. You redeem it yourself. I cannot do it.”

A slave at the working place is someone who obeys and not think, not creates. A builder creates and uses the necessary resources for his work to succeed inside. A slave is seeking the resources outside, expects that the boss and the others deliver to him all that she/he needs to succeed. So, the question is, what did you hired? Slaves? Builders? It is not realistic to believe that all your employees are builders but would be a miracle if your company wouldn't go bankrupt if all, including the leaders, would be slaves. How can you bring your company to make the transition to an organization with a spirit of builders and not of slaves?  First, as a founder, take a look to the leaders: are they builders? If not, you either make a crash course in training them how to be a builder and give them a deadline or a "lifeline" until when they become, act as a builder. OR you fire them! Most of business people ground their business on what they have learned, experienced, or was told by others. I want to incite some of you (hopefully all) to consider involving God in your business. God is omniscient and omnipresent.  Therefore He knows everything about your business and He is everywhere in in it. Involving Him in your business will certainly bring you a huge competitive advantage but it will “cost you something”. On the costs I will come later in this motivational. God gave us the Bible as a User Manual for the human being. This is also a “Best Practices” manual that shows many stories with victories and defeats.  I will refer to several places in the Bible to enrich this message. The word Mercy is in the Bible primarily understood as an act of godly favor or compassion. In the obvious language this word means compassion shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one's power. It also mean a compassionate treatment of those in distress. Let us look closer to the word mercy as is used in the New Testament.
